Changing of hands
We had to make a short film with the main subject of an object being passed from hand to hand. We chose to represent this by making a purposal scene. We showed the purposal in a flash back to show a happy moment, so we put a lighter effect on the flash back to show that it was a happy moment. But before the flash back we we have a darker effect on the scene to give the feel of sad and dark moment because its the end of the relationship. We kept the
Next time to improve the film I would make the scene near the start where Noami stops a looks around to make the scenes flow nicer because its a bit choppy. Also to maybe try and fade the hands in together to try a different transition.

.
Strength- It can be seen through how physically strong a person is or it can be shown through how mentally strong a person is. We chose to take a photo of weights to represent how someone may become physically stronger.
Danger- We chose to take a photo of a wet floor sign to represent danger because its warning people that they may get injured if they are unaware of what lays a head of them. Also it shows that danger doesn’t have to be represented by the colour of red.
Desire- we picked to take a photo of the ice cream van outside the door because it shows that desire is seeing or dreaming of what you want but you cannot reach or get. Also the chain in front of the door adds to the effect because it shows that it’s blocked and that you cannot get what you wish for.
Fear- everybody has different fears from small spiders to falling off a cliff, we chose to show the fear of falling, falling down the stairs. Also it show the unknown, not knowing where the stairs lead or where they will take you.
Friendship- Tend to look like this now, one or both people maybe on their phone. They are with one person and digitally be with someone else. In this photo one friend is talking to the other friend in reality whereas the other friend is somewhere else not giving his friend his full attention. We took this photo to show how much phones and technology is affecting everything from living to talking to people. People hardly talk face to face anymore and that due to technology.
Weakness- We took a photo of a cracked phone because it shows that a crack can cause it to become weaker and can be damaged a lot easier than something which is not cracked.
Greed- We chose to take a photo of someone holding money to show greed because they are not sharing the money they are holding it all to themselves. It may only a small amount but they are keeping it all to themselves.
Love- We chose to take a photo of someone’s relationship statue on facebook to represent love because in this era this how couples or “lovers” announce their relationship. If they change their relationship on social media it tells people that they are official.
Poverty- We took a photo of the gate and the rusty frame because when we think of poverty we think of people who cannot afford standard living and thing being left everywhere to rot and giving a messy look to an area. So we chose to take a photo of objects being left to rot away and being abandoned.
Purity- we took a photo of a puddle with a reflection in it because water is seen as substance which is pure because it doesn’t have harsh chemicals in it and it naturally made. The reflection shows that people can be cleansed of their sins by using water.
Wealth- can be shown in many different ways but we chose to show it through possession, the possession being the BMW. Some people like to spend their money on houses, jewel, cars etc. We picked this car because it’s an luxury car and its been kept in nice condition.

Miss peregrine and home for peculiar children review
Miss peregrine and home for peculiar children review
“What will the photos reveal? Will Jacob find out the truth?” When 20th century Fox brought Tim Burton film which follows the adventure of Jacob (Asa Butterfield) as he tries to find the truth about the stories his grandfather told him. The movie is based off the Ransom Riggs novel of 'Miss peregrine and home for peculiar children’.
The director, Tim Burton puts his weird and wonderful twist on the novel. Tim Burton has also directed Disney's famous live action 'Alice in wonderland’. Some Tim Burton fans may say that it's one of the best movies he has ever directed but it still has it twist. Tim has brought in some fantastic children actor such as Asa Butterfield who portraits 'Jacob’ which is the main leading character. Asa has also been in 'boy and striped pyjamas’ (which he co-stars) and 'Hugo’ (which he is main character). He portraits the character perfectly from struggling with coping of the family tragedy, to the confidence to defend the children from danger which they find themselves in. Eva Green who plays the character of Miss peregrine, presents the character perfectly from the love and protective side of the children to the hard stern side she has to teach them to do well. In the supporting roles Thomas and Joseph Odwell (the twins), Georgia Pemberton (Fiona), Milo Parker (Hugh), Finlay MacMillan (Enoch), Ella Purnell (Emma), Hayden Keeler-Stone (Horace), Raffiella Chapman (Claire), Pixie Davies (Bronwyn), Lauren McCrostie (Olive) and Cameron King (Millard) help Jacob with his adventure of finding the truth and defending the peculiar children. The acting from all the children was amazing sadly with the younger children there isn't much character development which can leave some viewers questioning about what sort of character they could of been.
The story follows Jacob to Wales after a family tragedy, the 16 year old finds him inside the crumbling ruins of Miss peregrine's home for peculiar children. Jacob will find hidden truth that's lie within the walls of the abandon home. He learns that the peculiar children are much more peculiar than he first thought.
The movie allows the book to come alive even if the major female role was completely changed from the original book. Tim Burton has given the eerie story his famous weird and wonderful look about the story. Its worth sitting down and enjoying the journey of Jacob and the peculiar children.
